Cynosure CPD Event for Cosmetic Nurses and Dermal Therapists

Uncategorized

What is Continuing Professional Development and why is it important within the aesthetics field?

Continuing professional development commonly abbreviated to ‘CPD’ refers to the work-related learning and development. Professionals such as nurses and doctors in some fields must complete mandatory CPD requirements in order to maintain their registration. For others it is entirely discretionary but no less important. CPD is one of the key mechanisms to maintain high standards of professional practice with relevancy and currency of qualifications and experience.

CPD Event Through Cynosure and the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science.

Recently, Cynosure joined forces with the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science to deliver a CPD event in Perth on the 19th March 2020. The focus of the CPD event was the Icon Aesthetic system, which offers industry-leading IPL and laser therapies, as well as Skintel(tm), the industry’s only live melanin reader helping clinicians safely treat a multitude of skin concerns commonly presented in cosmetic medical clinics.

Attendees of the event included cosmetic doctors, cosmetic nurses, dermal therapists and students of the Graduate Diploma of Dermal Science and Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables – the future generation of industry professionals. These CPD events not only provide theoretical knowledge but also allow attendees to observe close up, live demonstrations on patients showcasing equipment efficacy and safety. On completion of the CPD event, attendees are awarded a CPD Certificate to log as a CPD activity.

Future Cynosure CPD Events

Cynosure and the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science will be running future CPD events in other states. To register your interest, please contact the CPD Program Manager, Ekta Tandon.
